Director, visionary, character, artist… cinema royalty. As with most people, I have been fascinated with cinema. So when the decision to create a tribute website for Alfred Hitchcock arrived due to the generalized scattering of information, I did not hesitate at the opportunity.
I personally love clean, dark websites (the summarization of my early design years). The color scheme was a simple choice of dark tones with the added prominent color: crimson red. After numerous color iterations, the site needed its own presence away from those made presently.
I generally create somewhat content-heavy sites that express the subject of interest, along with various other avenues users unknowledgeable on the subject can find more information.
When creating this site I've first began researching autobiography sites with a similar presence and feel. Then by formulating a sitemap and incorporating HTML5 and CSS3, I coded numerous mockups before deciding on the final design.

Logo Design Concepts:
Regarding the branding and logo creation, I gained inspiration from his “Hitchcock Presents” series, which depicted his face using a signature-like approach. By also adding his actual signature, I was able to then complement the color scheme using that mindset.

Color Palette
Figuring out the color scheme was simple, yet telling when one would think of Hitchcock's later films, which while didn't include blood on screen, gave the appearance of such to great acclaim.

When finalizing the website, I have seen the potential to expand, which may also include more multimedia (a more extensive photo library and videos) along with a character list and staff for each film created.
Even throughout every iteration, you can always find new things to explore/test while maintaining your mystique as an artist… just like Hitchcock.
